Well what can I say...The Moistboyz and Sound of Urchin just fucking kicked ass last Wednesday! The most rock I have seen on a Wednesday for a long time. Nice fucking guys every last one of em too. I can't say enough good things about them and their music. I heard we even played well. I don't buy into that though...haha. It was my first gig with the ASSMASTER and I am a happy camper. Fuzz and ass together again!

I would like to take a moment and sing the praises of an unsung hero. Trucker John our drummer. He is usually hiddedn behind a wall of amps and smoke so he doesn't get the praise he deserves. Next time you see Trucker John, buy him a drink and tell him what an unsung hero he is and that he has a great ass. Here's to you and your great ass Trucker John! Kampai!

As many of you know every year I make a trek up to the Northwest to visit with my old buddy and Indian Casino Records president Jack Bensonhurst in Seattle. Every year Jack and I party our asses off until we're almost dead and then roll some tape and record a song. The first year I went up there Jack and I witnessed a murder. True story. Some crack deal gone bad or whatever but we saw a guy get his throat slashed and then had to identify the dude that killed the other guy. We even saw the slashed guy i his death rattle. Not really pleasant at all but that's life and death for ya. It was my first trip to Seattle and nothing, not even witnessing a murder was going to ruin my vacation. I earned it! After the ending of lives and the capture of the other guy we went and had sushi. We recorded our first song entitled "Murder and Sushi" thus starting a tradition of recording a song together at the end of my visit. We have since lost Murder and Sushi and a few others in some moves and computer crashes but I thought it'd be nice to share what we've been working on for the last couple of years.

This year we had a Breathalyzer to document just how much damage we did to our bodies and how much over the legal limit we still were when we woke up the next morning. I believe at the height of recording these tracks both of us were blowing in the .33/.35 range so it's actually a miracle these songs even exist or were recorded at all.

We'll add a new one every year, but you can go ahead and make you pre-orders now for the album should be done around 2015.

Enjoy The Pungent Sound

Well if you missed the Inebriated Conclusion at the Wreck a few weeks ago you missed one hell of a good time. The Me-Thinks headlinging anything is a bad idea but for the final Saturday night at the Wreck it was perfect! Drunken tomfoolery abound! We all had a great time and I hope you all did too. The Wreck will be missed of course. That's been our home away from Haltom City for 10 and a half years now and I am sorry to see it go. But like Carl said to me the other night...it's only a building. He's right. We'll all just move down the street to Lola's and set up shop there and it should be like old times...but with working bathrooms for the time being.

I also just returned from the Great Pacific Northwest for my annual Indian Casino Shareholders meeting in Seattle. Don't let the big name fool you, it was just me and Ole Jack Bensonhurst getting gooned from morning till night. Drinking glass after glass of Dutchesse de Bourgone and eating pub food everyday. Made it down to Portland too and crawled around that towns pubs as well. Rogue rules Oregon and rightly so. Check out Sassy's too if you're ever up there. Ask a cabbie, they'll know exactly where it is! Good times! Jack's a great host and if you're ever up in the Seattle area. If you get him drunk you can sleep in the Snakepit for free!

In the immortal reversed words of Toby Keith...enough about me let's talk about you...You will be at 6th Street Live in beautiful Fort Worth, Texas tonight. Why you say? Well tonight we open for two great bands both hailing jointly from New Hope, PA. and Brooklyn NY. ...Sound of Urchin and the Moistboyz. They are on tour and they need you to be there! As a show of their gratitude for you making it out on a Wednesday. Everyone gets a copy of SOU's new CD with admission! I told you they were cool! See you Goons there.

Listen, I am real sorry I haven't been posting as often as I should. What can I say besides I am lazy and we are busy?

I was removed and banned for life from a Southwest Airlines flight for what they deemed too SEXY and showing too much cleavage. Too hot to fly I guess. Trucker John lost his long running law suit to have the term "Well Hell Yeah" copyrighted. Bandy's busy with his Rodeo Clown certifacation right now and is doing really well in the classes down at the Stock Yards. Marlin is still dazzling people with his one man Meatloaf tribute - A Touch of Meatloaf and is getting rave reviews from the dinner theater crowds he draws. All in all, we're all pretty busy besides our duties in the Me-Thinks.

We did manage to reschedule court dates, classes and tribute shows well enough to play the VERY LAST SATURDAY NIGHT at the WRECK ROOM...EVER! It's going to be Saturday, September 29th. Come on down because it won't be there for more than 48 hours after we play. You can say goodbye to the Wreck and you can be part of the INEBRIATED CONCLUSION with us...your hosts...the Me-Thinks

Well kids, I hate to say it but we had a great time over in Assassination City (that's Dallas's nickname I learned). The crowd was great, the bands were great, the club was great...all in all a good fucking time. I don't think the club liked our smoke machine though. Oh well. We're definitely going to have to do it again and this time maybe we could do a "tour" and play a show with the Gringos in Fort Worth even.

I talked to and saw a lot of relics out there that night. I got to meet Jeff from the Hickoids, lots of old Zorlac team riders were there as well as the Reverend Horton Heat too. I was really happy so many Fort Worthians made it out there too. It was good to have our own crowd. Made us feel at home even though we weren't at the Wreck in Fort Worth. Pancho gave me his guitar at the end of the night too! Let me just say it again in case you haven't found out for yerself...The Gringos Fucking Rule!

Here's some pics from the night that JJ took.

Thanks again to the Loco Gringos for inviting us to play with a band we emulate so much. It was great to share the stage with you. Also, Dragna was kick ass too and if you haven't seen em, go check em out. They will be at the Wreck Room on August 4th.

Well we got nominated again this year for best hard rock band. We're grateful people actually seem to like us enough to nominate us every year. And we're stoked to have actually won 2 years in a row. This year it seems like we're competing against all of our friends though. Blood of the Sun, The Great Tyrant, Addnerim...al great bands and god friends. At any rate we're sending the Asian Media Crew regardless. They'll cause hilarious chaos and drink up all of our drink tickets. We are also nominated for best hard rock album of the year too. Maybe Jack B. could make some kinda return if we won that one too.

Here's the online link to go vote.

Don't forget that we are playing with the legendary Loco Gringos and Dragna Friday, July 13th at the Lakewwod bar and grill in Dallas, Texas.

Wednesday, June 6th 2007:

Sorry our posts have been so sporadic. We've been spending a lot of time drinking and tracking down new equipment. We also picked up and moved the Me-Thinks World Headquarters about a half mile down the street. No one will ever look for us there and if they do find us we got a new moat filled with sharks with fucking laser beams! they gotta get through to steal our shit this time. That's right Motherfuckers...sharks with fucking laser beams!

We're still in the HC though. We the fuck else are we going to go?

We've got some shows coming up here pretty soon. We're doing a benefit for a local gal most know named Lan Nguyen. The show is at the Wreck Room this Sunday (10th). We play at 2PM and we're doing a split set with our friends One Fingered Fist. Should be fun!

And speaking of fun...we're playing with the Loco Gringos! That's right...the Loco Fucking Gringos! It's us them and Dragna on Friday July 13th at the Lakewood Bar and Grill in Dallas. It's our first show in Dallas too technically. We're super fucking excited because most of us grew up watching the Gringos play in the late 80's and have tried to emulate their brand of good time rock and roll. Come on out or your just an idiot!

Well another successful tour for the Me-Thinks. We played Cinco de Mayo at the Wreck and then the next day we played Fredsfest and boy are we beat! I am glad we only do tours(haha) once a year! Thanks to the Wreck for having us out and thanks to Fred's for having us out. It's always nice to play our two very favorite places in Panther City and get beers and burgers to boot!

And while we are in a thanking mood, we really wanna thank some people and places that have helped us after some piece of shits stole all of our our gear (RIP). It makes you realize how cool our friends and this town really are when we needed help. People came out of the woodwork to let us know they had equipment we could borrow and we really got the hook up on the new gear we have been purchasing.

Thanks to Curby Forte for letting us use the PA and the bass rig. Thanks to John Zaskoda at Sessions Music for putting some price lists together for us. Thanks to Scott Dyson and Everyone at Competition Music for letting us play the speakeasy and then cutting us a killer deal on a new PA. Thanks to John Russell for calling that very night we got ripped off and offering his amps to us. Thanks to Scott Walden and Jay Tines for getting us the "cool guy - rock and roll" discount at Guitar Center. That helped immensely! And last but not least...thanks to everybody in the great Panther City for giving a shit and letting us know that there are a thousand eyes and ears out there and if any of our old gear turns up, we'll be the first to know. Karma's a bitch you thieving gear and porn stealing pieces of fucking shit! Amen!

Thursday, April 12th 2007:

Bad news from Haltom City...Some low down, no good, meth smoking, kiddie porn watching, piece of motherfucking shit stinking bag of fucking dicks broke into our tin shack in Haltom City and stole everything! All of our precious equipment that we had painstakingly found, brought back to life and meticulously maintained, is in the hands of some fucking assholes who probably don't even know what it is or how angry we are about losing it. I pray the cops find them before we do because I, for one, will cut a motherfuckers head off with a rusty bottle cap, cut their little shriveled cocks off and shove them up their own AIDS infested asses. Sorry I haven't been updating this shit as regularilly as I should but what do you want from me. SOmetimes there just isn't stuff to report. Sometimes there is. Today is one of those days. Plenty of stuff going on in the Tin Shack out in the HC. First of all Boyo has decided that he could better the band by stopping playing guitar and being our "spiritual advisor" from now on. We've always been big Pet Sounds era Beach Boys fans so why the hell not. So from now on, Boyo will be from here on out know as the Boyo-Lama. He will contuinue helping us stay grounded (drunk), focused (fat) and centered (stupid). He is curently in Tibet, high on a mountain top, writing our new opus.

We are also happy to announce that Bandy from one of Trucker Jon's other bands, will be joining the Me-Thinks fold on another Gibson guitar. Yup. Dualing Guitars are here to stay! Tunes in the shack are going pretty good. They have to because we went ahead and set up a shitload of shows (3)!

  • April 27th - The Speakeasy w/ Blood of the Sun
  • May 5th (Drinko de Mayo) - Wreck Room (prolly our last Wreck Show)
  • May 6th - Fredsfest @ Fred's

Yeah, two fucking shows in a row. That's me and Boyo's birthday weekend too so we'll be fucking hammered! Marlin is already to go as you can see! I am also doing some shows with the Stooges cover band, Stoogeaphilia, that I play in. April 25th at the Wreck and We're also on the Fredsfest bill on May 6th.

I know I usually go on and on about what drunks we are and what fuck ups we are and yes it's all true, but I am actually going to report on some band news this time! We are writing new songs. Believe it or not! Got a few going as a matter of fact. Also Jack Bensonhurst and the good folks at Indian Casino Records have our CD available through a bunch of different avenues. You can go to any of the following places and find us now:

  • Amazon
  • iTunes
  • Rhapsody
  • CDbaby
  • Indian Casino Records

FUCK, that's almost professional. We better dial it down a bit or the kiddies will call us sell-outs. They can call us fat, old, slow, stupid, dumb, asshole, muddafucka, anything they want, but sell outs...we ain't got time to sell out you little no day job havin, no wife/girlfriend havin, no mortgage havin, can't even buy beer yet little power rangered-ass Fucktards!

...and in other band news, your favorite bearded guitar wonder and mine, Marlin Von Bungy, would now officially like to be known, from here on out, as Shredmaster the Studly. Thank you and good evening.

Well Happy New Year MuthaFuckers! I hope everyone has taken up smoking again and quit the gym already after making those stupid New Year's Resolutions. I know I have. We hope Santa brought you that vibrating cock ring with removable anal probe or the weapons grade plutonium you wanted for Christmahanakwaanzica. I got socks. Marlin got an herb garden that he can plant himself. Trucker John got football phone and Will got a pony. Not a bad haul there!

I am going to straight shoot you here and tell you that this year is going to be the same a every year for the Me-Thinks. We've already started out "break form playing live" break. We have a mountain of CDs to move or figure out if they will be permanent furniture structures in my living room. We'll play a grooling number of live shows like we always do. I think we are shooting for 6 this year. That's one every 2 months. Whoo! We're going to drink a lot, write a few new tunes, maybe get around to spring cleaning the warehouse...maybe. So business as usual for us here at Me-Thinks World Headquarters. We'll see you down at the pub.
